Jaguar to end XK production after 18 years

Jaguar will this summer cease production of the XK 2+2 GT car after 18 years at the top of the Coventry firm’s model range. The decision to stop making the XK comes after the hugely successful launch of the F-Type – which, say analysts, has led to a big fall in XK sales as thousands of buyers queues up to buy the F-Type. Lamborghini Aventador deliveries may be delayed

Lamborghini's factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, survived the recent earthquakes in the region undamaged. Production at the factory has resumed but deliveries of Lamborghini's 691-hp Aventador may be delayed because of supplier troubles. The initial sequence of earthquakes struck the Modena province of northern Italy on May 20 and was followed by another series of tremors on May 29.

Design Development: Yanfeng Visteon Glide

Those who attended our Designers' Night in Beijing earlier in the year will have seen the Yanfeng Visteon Glide concept car, a car many thought one of the best displayed throughout the whole motor show period. However many asked why a Tier 1 supplier Yanfeng Visteon has gone to the effort and expense of creating a full concept car, especially one as exotic as the Glide, especially when the company's core business is designing and supplying interior components. We caught up with Shizuki Kajiyama, Yanfeng Visteon's Design Studio Manager to find out more about the project.
